This is another great basic recipe to have in your repertoire. You can substitute any bean in this recipe and use any fresh herbs you have on hand.

  • 400g tin kidney beans, well rinsed
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 spring onion, chopped


Step 1

Place all ingredients in a blender and pulse blend. Don’t overblend, as you want the pate to be a bit chunky.

Step 2

Chill for 15 minutes to set, garnish with chopped avocado and sour cream before serving with vegetable crudités or fresh crusty bread.
